Network Engineer I - NOC (Entry Level)

Description

We are now seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Network Engineer I in our Lubbock, TX office. Responsibilities & Duties

  • Proactively monitor and maintain customer network infrastructure.
  • Create and manage tickets for network issues.
  • Troubleshoot network and server problems.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer equipment.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate resources.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Develop knowledgebase solutions for common issues.
  • Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
  • Efficiently handle incoming/outgoing calls in a professional and knowledgeable manner.


Qualifications

Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer/management information systems, engineering, computer science, or equivalent is required.
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requiring a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:
  • Experience with Layer 2 Ethernet switching, DHCP, DNS, and Linux command line.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, and general networking principles.
  • 0-3 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, or designing Internet Service Provider Networks (entry-level and experienced candidates welcome).

Skills:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Full-time, non-supervisory
  • On-call required
