Accountant | $50-60K+ DOE | Lubbock, TX

A well-established and growing Lubbock-based company with nearly two decades of success is seeking a skilled and proactive Accountant to join their close-knit team. This is a hands-on, accounting role offering a dynamic environment, opportunities for growth, and the chance to make a real impact within a family-owned business that manages multiple related entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounting for a primary business and 4-5 affiliated entities
• Daily accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close
• Apply accrual-based accounting practices and support job costing efforts
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, detail orientation, and accountability
• Double-check work to ensure error-free reporting
• Work independently and take initiative without needing constant oversight
• Be willing to support other departments and assist where needed-including ordering materials, learning new systems, and occasionally meeting clients in a showroom setting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of experience preferred
• Associate degree accepted with a minimum of 5 years of full-charge accounting experience
• Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and job costing
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and handle responsibilities across several business units
• Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to take on additional responsibilities over time
