Description
JSI invites you to join our team as a Network Engineer I working in Lubbock, TX, as part of our NOC team where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusionwhile advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Proactively monitor and maintain customer network infrastructure.
  • Create and manage tickets for network issues.
  • Troubleshoot network and server problems.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer equipment.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate resources.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Develop knowledge base solutions for common issues.
  • Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
  • Efficiently handle incoming/outgoing calls professionally and knowledgeably.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Computer/Management Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar bachelors degrees or Associates Degrees
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requiring a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
  • Requires 0-3 years experience of operating, troubleshooting, and/or designing Service Provider Networks (This position is open to both entry-level and applicants with some industry experience)
Skills:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, non-supervisory
  • Specific shifts may vary. This role may include weekend shifts.
  • On-call required
