Job DetailsDescription

We are seeking a talented Data Center Architect with a strong focus on data center design and management providing strategic technical guidance. This role is ideal for a professional ready to leverage their expertise in creating detailed architectural plans and ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architectural Design: Lead the design of data center projects, creating detailed architectural plans that meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations on data center infrastructure, encompassing power systems, cooling solutions, network architecture, and security practices.
  • Documentation: Oversee the comprehensive project documentation process, from drawings and specifications to contracts, and manage construction administration to uphold quality and alignment with design intent.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, construction, and IT teams to integrate architectural designs with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Project Management: Support project managers in overseeing the design phase, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of design documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any design-related issues.
Required Knowledge And Skills
  • Architectural Expertise: Strong background in architectural design, with experience in the AEC industry and a deep understanding of data center requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools to create detailed architectural plans and documentation.
  • Coordination Skills: Ability to work closely with engineering and construction teams to ensure designs are accurately implemented.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in creating and reviewing design documents.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Recommended Experience and Education
  • Education: A Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on data center projects.
  • Professional Licensure: Licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
  • Project Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing complicated, mission-critical data center projects.
