Job Title: Network Engineer V
Location: Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.)
Duration: 12+ Months (possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $85-$100/hr on W2

Job Description:

  • Seeking a highly experienced Network Deployment and Operations Engineer to join the Network Deployment and Support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IP or Optical networking, proven program management expertise, and the ability to drive operational excellence at scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and operational oversight for IP or Optical network deployments, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional technical discussions to identify solutions, mitigate risks, and drive innovation.
  • Build and manage comprehensive deployment program scope, schedules, and resources.
  • Define, track, and analyze KPIs (deployment speed, quality, efficiency, SLAs) to measure program success.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships, ensuring contractual obligations and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Data Center Engineers, Network Engineers, Operations teams) to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management with insights on program performance, risks, and opportunities.

Must-Have Skills
  • Strong network technology background.
  • Technical program management experience.
  • Proven record of operational excellence using metrics and KPIs.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience managing networks at scale (Amazon, Microsoft, Google).
  • Background in data center and edge networking.
  • Experience in network design and architecture.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IP or Optical network deployment, with emphasis on program management, process improvement, and technical leadership.
  • Technical expertise in protocols such as BGP, TCP/IP, SNMP, GRE, and MPLS.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience with automation workflows and dashboards (working with engineers/data scientists).
