Summary
Maintains landscaped areas for LP&L's substations.
Essential Functions
- Mow, trim, edge lawns. Trim trees and shrubs. Mow/shred native acres;
- Apply non-restricted pesticides to substation yards;
- Operate and maintain mechanical equipment;
- Haul materials by truck or tractor;
- Pick up litter and trash from grounds;
- Start irrigation systems and make minor repair to systems;
- Assist in testing and repairing transformers;
- Perform related duties as required.

Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Groundskeeping methods, associated equipment and tools.
Ability to:
- Use hand tools and motorized equipment;
- Perform heavy physical labor;
- Ability to acquire a Non-commercial Applicators license.
- Continuously lift and carry up to 40 pounds;
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds;
- Frequently walk and stand during the shift;
- Frequently bend and kneel during the shift;
- Push and pull objects;
- Frequently flex upper trunk forward at the waist and partially at the knees;
- Occasionally rotate upper trunk to the left or right while sitting or standing;
- Frequently reach above, at or below shoulder height;
- Coordinate eye, hand and foot movements.
