A premier enterprise-class data center and cloud connectivity provider is seeking a Chief Critical Infrastructure Engineer to serve as the senior technical leader for a mission-critical campus south of Dallas, TX. Operating on the 3rd shift (Night Shift), this high-impact position drives operational excellence, ensures 100% uptime availability, and oversees the complex mechanical and electrical plant supporting top-tier enterprise clients. As the leader of night shift technical operations, a typical day in the life will involve directing the facility's continuous engineering performance and serving as the ultimate escalation point for site infrastructure. You will:
7+ years of progressive engineering experience within data center facility operations, mission-critical infrastructure management, or equivalent 24x7 high-availability environments.
Proven supervisory or leadership experience directly managing technical teams and shift operations.
Expert, hands-on knowledge of large-scale mission-critical systems, including industrial UPS architecture, backup generators, switchgear, commercial HVAC/chillers, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
Ability to work the 3rd shift (Night Shift) schedule consistently at the facility located in Red Oak, TX.
Strong analytical troubleshooting capacities, with a proven track record of managing high-pressure incidents under tight windows.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a high proficiency in developing technical reports, root-cause analyses, and operational proposals.
Nice-to-Haves
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
Demonstrated understanding of global industry codes, safety regulations, and quality management systems such as ISO 9000, ISO 14000, or OHSAS 18000.
Advanced certifications in critical environment management or data center professional credentials.
